ALISON MATIS

Co-Founder

Alison comes to FestEvents Group with over 15 years experience in the Food and Beverage industry. She began her journey as a server and line cook before attending and graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. After three years with Hilton in Washington, DC, Alison received her MBA in Hospitality Administration from École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland. Over the next five years Alison worked as Director of Food and Beverage for Hilton Key Largo, Fairmont Washington, DC, and Fairmont Dallas. In 2017, Alison branched out on her own to pursue a career within the industry that allowed her to connect with the community.

 

Alison lives in Dallas with her husband, whom she met at culinary school, their daughter and two cats.

CHERYL WEIS

Co-Founder

Cheryl is a former IT project manager who left the corporate world to explore her creative side and love of providing delicious food for friends and family. She has a business degree from Texas Christian University and a Culinary Arts Degree from Le Cordon Bleu.  Upon completion of culinary school she stumbled into the event management world and was able to combine her organizational and project management skills with the creativity of event planning. She is passionate about making the event process seamless for her clients.
